Booking a sunrise balloon flight over the Cape Winelands takes about two minutes. Choose your package, pick an available morning on the live calendar, and secure your seats with a non-refundable R250 per ticket admin fee. Flights depart from Klein Joostenberg near Stellenbosch, roughly 30 minutes from Cape Town CBD.
Select the Sunrise Package, the September Special, a gift voucher, or an Exclusive Flight Experience. The availability calendar shows only mornings that still have seats, and it blocks dates that a package cannot be flown on.
We need a name, mobile number and email for the lead guest, plus the number of passengers. Tell us here about proposals, birthdays or dietary needs so the crew can prepare.
Pay the R250 per ticket admin fee by EFT or SnapScan and send proof of payment by WhatsApp or email. Your seats are held the moment we receive it.
You receive an immediate booking confirmation with your booking reference. Once your admin fee is confirmed, we email your e-ticket with the meeting point, the meeting time and the check-in instructions.
We check the sunrise forecast the evening before and message you with your exact meeting time. If conditions look unsafe we call it early so you are not driving out for nothing.
A non-refundable R250 per ticket admin fee secures your booking, and the balance is settled on site by card machine on the morning of your flight. Full upfront payment is not accepted for sunrise flights.
Gift vouchers are paid in full and emailed as a printable ticket. Exclusive flights are confirmed with a non-refundable deposit — R2,000 for 2 to 8 guests, or R250 per guest for a large party — with the balance paid on the day.
We advise overseas guests not to pay the full amount upfront. International refunds are slow and costly, and the deposit model protects you if plans change.
Meet the crew in the Klein Joostenberg parking lot about an hour before sunrise, watch the balloon inflate under torchlight, and take your safety briefing from the pilot.
You will spend approximately one hour in the air, with the full experience running two to three hours from meeting to farewell, finishing with a sparkling wine toast after landing.
Balloons only fly in calm, stable conditions. If the morning does not meet our safety criteria, we do not fly.
You reschedule to the next morning that suits you at no extra cost, or receive a full refund of the admin fee.
